Merritt, eres un jodido genio

No quedan muchos letristas que yo considere genios en la música de hoy ni muchos fragmentos de canciones que me hagan musitar "que cabrón", pero alguien que aún tras escuchar sus canciones cuarenta veces me hace siempre sonreír con envidia es Stephin Merritt. Sea con The Magnetic Fields, The 6ths, The Gothic Archies, Future Bible Heroes o cualquiera de sus encarnaciones este cabroncete puede alegrarte o hundirte el día con un jodido estribillo. Algunos ejemplos, pero hay que oirle a él cantando con esa voz tan suya (que incluso las voces menos "doradas" como la mía podemos soñar con imitar):
